Roadmap for 1.0


I sat down and thought about the version 1.0 of Deep Space Survivor. I needed to quantify for myself, what features and functionality would be needed for me to consider the game to be "1.0 quality".

Here are my personal requirements for 1.0 release, and this is now the current roadmap. Note that the roadmap is not finalized and may be changed accordingly.

No ETA yet, but development is ongoing and next feature release should be coming up soon (next release for example has gamepad support!)

1.0 Roadmap

  • At least 6 different enemy types
  • Achievement support
  • At least 9 different research options
  • Icons for research options
  • At least 6 different weapons
  • All weapons should have a 3-tiered special upgrade on level 5 (e.g. Magic Survival)
  • The main level should be scripted to be at least 15 minutes long
  • Sound effects for various interactions
